Associate Physiotherapist

Our Associate Physiotherapists are fully qualified HCPC registered physiotherapists with a degree level qualification, but with limited pelvic health clinical experience (although they may have other skills and qualifications that mean they are not new to pelvic health).

We recognise the importance of supporting physiotherapists that are keen to grow in this specialist and much needed area of physiotherapy, and offer training opportunities for this.

The following appointments can be booked with an Associate Physiotherapist and will involve the presence of the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist either in the treatment room or nearby:

  • Antenatal Pelvic Health (including musculoskeletal back, hip and pelvic girdle pain)

  • Mummy MOT and Postnatal Pelvic Health

  • Stress Urinary Incontinence

  • Bladder Urgency & Urge Incontinence

  • Mild Prolapse Symptoms

  • General Pelvic Wellness (including peri and menopause)

These appointments are slightly longer and include time for the Associate Physiotherapist to discuss their clinical reasoning and treatment planning with the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - so you get two for the price of one!

If you are happy to help our Associate Physiotherapists gain the necessary experience to progress in this specialist profession, and whilst getting support with your pelvic health, please contact us via email (thepelvicphysios@gmail.com). You can also book via the ‘Appointments’ tab, and selecting ‘Joint Initial Assessment’.

Please note that these appointments are only available on Mondays, and some Saturdays as availability is released.
